Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre

Discover an important part of Cooma’s history with informative and interactive displays, historic and entertaining films. Great for children. Cafe on site closes 1 hour before the centre. Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Weekends and public holidays from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. Weekends during winter 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ph: 1800 623 776

Raglan Gallery and Cultural Centre

Located in the historic Lord Raglan Inn (1855) in Lambie Street, the beautiful gallery showcases the best arts and craft talent in the region. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Ph: 6452 3377

N.S.W. Correctional Centre Museum

Located in Vale Street adjacent to the Cooma Jail. The museum highlights the history of incarceration from the First Fleet to the present in N.S.W. prisons. Open Monday to Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. Ph: 6452 5974

Historic Town Walk

Starting in Centennial Park is the Cooma Lambie Town Walk, which leads you around the historic and significant sights of Cooma. Please ask for a copy of “Discover Cooma’s Rich History”  at the Cooma Visitor Centre.

Picnic along the river at the Murrumbidgee River Reserve, Mittagong Road, or traverse the Mountain Bike trails and lookout at Mount Gladstone. On the way, why not stop at Heidi’s Tea House for some traditional Austrian food.

Experience nature at its best at the Kosciuszko National Park, home to Australia’s highest mountains and premier ski fields of Thredbo, Perisher and Charlotte’s Pass. Create some fun-filled memories skiing at Australia’s ultimate snow sports playground during the winter or bushwalking or mountain bike riding in the warmer months.
